Join us in sunny Sarasota, Florida August 16-19 at the Ritz Carlton for the LECOM Summer Primary Care CME Conference! This conference offers a unique learning experience for physicians and health care professionals seeking to learn the latest information about medical advancements and treatment options. LECOM faculty and guest lecturers will present topics pertinent to primary care physicians as well as to specialists. The objective of this four-day seminar is to provide participating physicians with information about new medical advancements in order to increase the scope of treatment options available to primary care physicians and to enhance the physicians’ existing knowledge of topics that will be covered.
LECOM will offer 20 AOA Category 1-A lecture hours presented by the college clinical faculty.
The AAFP has reviewed LECOM Summer Primary Care 2021 and deemed it acceptable for up to 18.00 In-Person, Live (could include online) AAFP Prescribed credit. Term of Approval is from 08/16/2021 to 08/19/2021. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Summer Primary Care 2021 will focus upon health problems commonly seen in the offices of primary care physicians. This course includes lectures that cover cardiovascular topics, geriatrics, psychiatry, urology, ophthalmology and so much more! This conference is intended for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, therapists and other allied health professionals who practice in primary care.
At the end of the conference, LECOM requires all participants to complete a program evaluation as well as speaker evaluations. These surveys are used to assess the quality of speakers and lectures and to determine future CME program needs.
This conference will follow all proper COVID-19 protocols and require face masks in accordance with current state and CDC guidelines.
Hotel Accommodations
The conference will be held at the Ritz Carlton, Sarasota, FL. The hotel is located at 1111 Ritz Carlton Dr, Sarasota, FL 34236. The conference will begin on Monday, August 16. The conference registration desk opens at 7:30 A.M. and the first lecture will begin at 8:00 A.M. Breakfast is available for registered conference attendees only and will be available in the lecture space. LECOM has reserved a block of rooms for this conference at a discounted rate. All rooms are standard rooms and upgrades and extending your stay are available for an additional fee. Check-in for the rooms is Sunday, August 15 at 4:00 PM (the conference starts on Monday, August 16). And checkout is Thursday, August 19 at 11:00 AM (the final day of the conference).

Adjunct Faculty Registration: $1,400*
Includes conference lectures, four (4) nights lodging at the Ritz Carlton and breakfast Monday through Thursday. Check-in is Sunday, August 15 after 4pm and check-out is Thursday, August 19 (the final day of the conference) at 11am. This is available for adjunct faculty members only. Additional Hotel Stay: $215*
Attendees that wish to extend their hotel stay, either checking in on Saturday, August 14 or checking out on Friday, August 20, may do so for an additional fee. Please select this option on the registration form above.
Spouse Registration: $250*
This option is only available to those that select the Standard or Adjunct Faculty Registration option. This option is only necessary if your spouse plans to attend the lectures and earn CME credit. You do not need to select this option if your spouse or family is traveling with you and not attending the lectures.
Commuter Registration: $550
Includes conference lectures, breakfast and mid-day snack. It does not include a hotel stay.
Virtual Registration: $550
Attend the conference online through Zoom. It does not include a hotel stay.
*Transportation to and from Sarasota is not included.
Cancellation Policy
Conference registrations can be cancelled for a full refund by August 1, 2021. Cancellation requests must be made in writing and sent to cme@lecom.edu. Please review the following policies:
- Standard registrations cancelled after August 1, 2021 will receive a full refund less a $250 administrative processing fee. After August 10, 2021, cancellation requests will not be accepted and refunds will not be issued.
- Registrations for the online option or the commuter option cancelled after August 1, 2021 will receive a full refund less a $100 administrative processing fee. After August 10, 2021, cancellation requests will not be accepted and refunds will not be issued.
