This conference offers a unique learning experience for physicians and health care professionals seeking to learn the latest information about medical advancements and treatment options. LECOM faculty and guest lecturers will present topics pertinent to primary care physicians as well as to specialists. The objective of this four-day seminar is to provide participating physicians with information about new medical advancements in order to increase the scope of treatment options available to primary care physicians and to enhance the physicians’ existing knowledge of topics that will be covered.
LECOM will offer 20 AOA Category 1-A lecture hours presented by the college clinical faculty.
Summer Primary Care 2025 will focus upon health problems commonly seen in the offices of primary care physicians. This course includes lectures that cover cardiovascular topics, geriatrics, psychiatry, urology, and so much more! This conference is intended for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, therapists and other allied health professionals who practice in primary care.
At the end of the conference, LECOM requires all participants to complete a program evaluation as well as speaker evaluations. These surveys are used to assess the quality of speakers and lectures and to determine future CME program needs. *If you are registering for someone or multiple people: please be aware that each person attending the event (whether Virtual or In-Person) will need their own account to fill out Course Resources such as quizzes, evaluations, and to receive their certificate.

Hotel Accommodations
The conference will be held at the Ritz-Carlton in Sarasota, FL. The hotel is located at 1111 Ritz Carlton Dr, Sarasota, FL 34236. The conference will begin on Monday, August 18. The conference registration desk opens at 7:30 A.M. and the first lecture will begin at 8:00 A.M. Breakfast is available for registered conference attendees only and will be available in the lecture space. LECOM has reserved a block of rooms for this conference at a discounted rate. All rooms are standard rooms. Extending your stay are available for an additional fee. Check-in for the rooms is Sunday, August 17 at 4:00 PM (the conference starts on Monday, August 18). And checkout is Thursday, August 21 at 11:00 AM (the final day of the conference).
Conference Fees
Standard Registration: $2,350*
Includes conference lectures, four (4) nights lodging at the Ritz-Carlton and full daily breakfast Monday through Thursday. Check-in is Sunday, August 16 after 4pm and check-out is Thursday, August 21 (the final day of the conference) at 11am.
Spouse Add-on: $2,835*
You do not need to select this option if your spouse or family is traveling with you and not attending the lectures. Includes conference lectures, four (4) nights lodging at the Ritz Carlton and full daily breakfast Monday through Thursday and CME credits for you and your spouse. Check-in is Sunday, August 17 after 4pm and check-out is Thursday, August 21 (the final day of the conference) at 11am. This option is only necessary if your spouse plans to attend the lectures and earn CME credit.
Adjunct Faculty Registration: $2,300*
Includes conference lectures, four (4) nights lodging at the Ritz Carlton and full daily breakfast Monday through Thursday and CME credits. Check-in is Sunday, August 17 after 4pm and check-out is Thursday, August 21 (the final day of the conference) at 11am. This is available for adjunct faculty members only. Additional Hotel Stay Per Night: $380*
Attendees that wish to extend their hotel stay, either checking in on Saturday, August 16 or checking out on Friday, August 22, may do so for an additional fee. Please select this option on the registration form above.
Commuter Registration: $875
Includes conference lectures, breakfast and mid-day refreshments. It does not include a hotel stay.
Virtual Registration: $585
Attend the conference online through Zoom. It does not include a hotel stay.
*Transportation to and from Sarasota is not included.
Cancellation Policy
In-Person Conference registrations can be cancelled for a full refund by August, 8 2024. Cancellation requests must be made in writing and sent to cme@lecom.edu. Please review the following policies:
- Standard registrations cancelled after August 8, 2025 will receive a full refund less a $250 administrative processing fee. After August 11, 2025, cancellation requests will not be accepted and refunds will not be issued.
- Registrations for the online option or the commuter option cancelled after August 13, 2025 will receive a full refund less a $100 administrative processing fee. After August 13, 2025, cancellation requests will not be accepted and refunds will not be issued.
Event Details
This conference will be held at the Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, Florida. For those that are attending the conference online (virtually), the conference will be broadcast on Zoom. The conference registration table will open and live webinar will not start until 7:30am each day of the conference and the first lecture will begin at 8:00am. The daily lecture schedule is as follows:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:00am-1:15pm
There will be a fifteen-minute break each day at 11:00am.
